Great lifestyle coaching, thank you Courtney! The intentional life! Am 69, parents were products of depression. Ex wife hoarder, we are bombarded with “buy this”, hate to waste, throw things away ,downsizing…getting rid of clutter simplifies life, but hard to do…

It’s such a relief to hear that you’re sober—it’s one of the reasons I follow you specifically. My grandfather let me try a shot of vodka when I was 12, and that experience convinced me I never wanted to drink. That’s the only drink I’ve ever had in my life (apart from an accidental sip of fermented apple cider).

I was raised in a religious home that was against drinking, and many of my friends mock my choice not to drink, assuming it’s because of my “prude” or “square” upbringing. But it’s not. I left that religion behind a long time ago, yet I’ve never felt the desire to drink.

I don’t know what your religious background is or if it plays a role in your sobriety, but I really appreciate hearing about the benefits of being sober from a health and mindset perspective. That’s where I’m coming from with my own sobriety—I have enough vices without adding alcohol to the mix. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Thank you for sharing this ❤️ I’m so glad you’re here! Always love meeting people who are sober too as it can feel pretty isolating lol

Thank you Courtney. This is inspiring. Your content constantly gives us wisdom and value. Walking changed my life in so many ways. It’s one of the best natural highs that you can tap into. I’m a writer and a creative. When I walk I feel the world is am empty canvas, my senses are the paint, and my deas are the paintbrush. I also feel that proper sleep and excercise has a symbiotic relationship. I’m looking forward to more of these personal videos.

    P.o.p.

Completely agree Courtney, I’m getting a dietitian and starting belly dancing next year

  • @johnnyroese says:

Yeah walking and fresh air always helps

  • @boston7228 says:

    Thank you, Courtney.

Pilates is good for energy, but yoga helps me feel less stressed.

  • @Ezilla82 says:

Wow, Courtney those are some very unique things to make you look and feel your best. If you want to share them than that’s awesome. I think my self approving journey is still a process like a rollercoaster, but some of the things I’ve learned from this channel and writing it down does help me be a bit better as a person in the long run. YAY!!!!👍👍

  • @RiannaNicole says:

As a female casual watcher of yours, and on her sobriety journey, at 30, your sentiment of “not wanting to come off as holier than thou” is where I’m at too, after being sober curious and cutting back over the last few years, as I’ve been working on bettering my mental and emotional health, as well as getting out of some stressful and not so great working environments.
Walking is a favorite thing for me to do as well, and have been working on a lot of the same things you’ve mentioned, like working out and meditating as well. Walking for me is an active meditation, when I’m not listening to something in the background.

  • @cymbergan says:

Cheers to Courtney about Sobriety. I have partial seizures and, too dislike the taste.

  • @lawrence31415 says:

Although I’ve never met you in-person, I do want to say that you are someone who has come far in life, and will continue to go further in the years that follow. Stay true to yourself and your goals, and the rest will come in their own good time. Thank you for sharing more about yourself, Courtney, and for your strong dedication to sharing positivity in all shapes and forms!
