I was taking with a younger colleague of mine on Friday and he was having a hard time. Without thinking I said hard times make great men and great men can change the world. His attitude picked up. I thought of that watching this short clip.

“Showing up is more important than motivation.” That is a jewel and I’m using it from now on.

We’ve been really depressed as a society lately. That’s affected everything honestly. The dating pool, and just the social environment in general, is just so different now, and we’re experiencing the consequences of social media replacing real life relationships. We need to revert back to early 2000s era when you just texted on flip phones and met people in-person like 80-90% of the time. People are just too scared and keep to themselves now and it really upsets me that as a society we’ve let this happen

    • @alwaysemployed656 says:

Eh, I think there comes a time to finally call a bluff and have little to no tolerance for anyone looking for an excuse to drag things down to an annoying crawl and spread negativity just for the sake of it. Lately, there have been a lot of WTF moments in the news, and to be honest, those participating could have chosen not to put themselves in those kinds of situations. Several months ago, some internet influencer got shot in the neck. He could have chosen not to be where he was, pushing buttons and promoting old-world views to a bunch of young, progressive people. The woman who got shot in Minneapolis definitely did not deserve what happened to her, but she also could have chosen not to mess with those guys or taunt them.

Early last year, everyone seemed to be in a more placid and positive mood, and no one was eager to start problems. Then I noticed that suddenly, right after the Fourth of July, things took almost an immediate 180-degree turn. Huge dark clouds seemed to come out of nowhere, and chaos took over. People suddenly were in a deep, dark mood, with bad intentions—as if some people could no longer go a single day without something bad happening and, out of nowhere, developed a deep thirst to make things go dark. So, to reference what you’re saying, things go bad and sour because that’s how general society wants it. People want things to be bad; they want things to be “uh-oh.” And you know what? There’s no stopping it. You can even see it in the comments on this small YouTube channel. The girl posts a simple video, and soon after it gets flooded with negative, crybaby manosphere comments, looking to fill the room with smelly farts just for the sake of it. The best anyone who doesn’t want to participate can do is simply keep bad people at a distance and let them do themselves in. Don’t participate, and don’t fall into the trap.

Taking responsibility is the only way. Get in shape and read a book, a good start.

  • @dhanrajmohan701 says:

Thank you for sharing your view with humanity ❤. Great advice ❤

  • @Kryptid_Slayer says:

With all due respect Courtney, you should try to throw in your own recipe because the past few shorts of yours have felt like copy paste advice. It’s not a one size fits all kind of scenario

That shirt looks comfortable I wonder what it’s made of

  • @Timstinkering-q4e says:

The problem is that doing all these things has left me not fitting into society very well, so I’m checking out instead.

I dated a girl for a long time and before homecoming she cheated on me. She wanted to fix it and I tried to let her and now it’s just if she will put in the effort for me. I love her to death I just wish she could do it right but I want a good god centered relationship and we would pray every day together and I thought it just worked. I wish she would fix it for us
