Dr. Ramani on why @TaylorSwift ‘s “Patient Zero” made her blood run cold and the scene that captured a tactic so many people in narcissistic relationships know all too well.

This is really written for me 😢😢. Talk about him not even caring when I had a serious cut on my hand and was profusely bleeding.

  • @adorable_anarchy1 says:

I had that moment the day I brought my first child home in the car. He started with me before that in the hospital— because I told him it was mandatory that the baby have a car seat to ride home in and he argued with me—but I didn’t dare say anything when the nurses asked me what was going on. They chalked it up to hormones. Nobody ever taught us in school What a narcissist looks like. I hope that kids are getting better educated nowadays.

    • @clevrguile says:

They aren’t… You really only learn this stuff through your village… Not in classes. This is tough because our youths education system is actively being dismantled in America, which will force less socializing… and when children don’t socialize enough, they become desensitized to “common issues” like domestic abuse and what it looks like… Or worse still, they begin to confuse what’s right with “but it’s the law.” When taken to the extremes, it becomes a slippery slope which can lead a whole society to do terrible things- in a most extreme case, Anne Frank comes to mind. But back to the main issue, because it’s not against the law to abuse your spouse in a lot of states, there are so few people who truly know better without a village there to teach them. We all need to come out of our shells to become the village of badass agers we were all turning into. Wisdom is key here, gotta keep passing our knowledge on.

    • @Marmi1010 says:

Mine slapped me in the head two days postpartum because I was crying and then he told me I made him a wife beater

    • @jsteele286 says:

The hell was he even saying?

    • @TinkBella-ir7df says:

Perhaps, she’s referring to the Media being the devil cos they are pure evil !😮

    • @allyiahdarling says:

My mom said she thought it was the last night of her life when my dad was driving her and I as a baby one night. She said the response from this video, that that experience is so common, was really jarring for her and brought the memory back. She had no idea he was capable of such cruelty until after the wedding…it’s really a horrifying personality type. We are both free of him now

  • @estelaalvarado5086 says:

My best guess is that she has experienced one of those toxic relationships

  • @JenniferTerzi says:

Oh I was patient zero too. And your videos have helped me SO much! It wasn’t me!!!

  • @g-mwalt4500 says:

Was just about to break no contact. Had just prayed to his first wife, who died. Then I saw this…

  • @JinLian1237 says:

The ex always knows the truth that the new supply will eventually find out😔 🤷🏾‍♀️

    • @JAbate-ub8ht says:

I actually felt guilty not warning the new supply, whom he said has 4 children. Not my place, and my therapist agreed. She had also assured me when I was struggling with leaving him knowing he would choose the street over adulting, that there is usually a woman who will accept anyone in their home and take him in. She knew.

  • @christie724 says:

The moment I decided to divorce, my husband punched and broke the windshield as he was driving fighting with me. I looked in the backseat to see my children terrified. That was the day I didn’t divorce for me, but for the sake of my children.

  • @2012funfamilytimes says:

Right there with you. Finally got out of a long term narcissistic relationship.

    • @jenerin905 says:

Congratulations. The first steps are so hard, but it’s so necessary in order to create a happy life. ❤

  • @Gabriela_DFT says:

    It’s always in a car.

    • @christinejones4785 says:

Yes very often mine threatened to kill me by slamming into a power pole I convinced him to stop the car and escaped it was terrifying

    • @RavenStealstheNight says:

My father loved to scare my mother and siblings while in the car. He almost got into a fight with another car in front of us, while we were all in the middle part of the harbour tunnel 😳 Hundreds of feet under water

  • @LaurenaXoXo says:

This video felt eeriely familiar, a big hug 🫂 to all the “Patient Zero’s”

  • @daythaheintzelman6634 says:

I’ve been in that car! What a ride!😢

  • @mariaverroye9510 says:

Oceans of love to all of my fellow Patient Zeros! 💛🫶🏼✨

  • @Eclipse_Shade-w2b says:

Music is already my therapy. Dr. Ramani suggesting a song? I gotta take a look at this

  • @sketchesnscribbles139 says:

My ex used to blast the music to the point where the speakers would crackle and speed while under the influence of alcohol, he called it his “way of blowing off steam”, he acted like I was denying him a fundamental human right when I told him that I felt unsafe when I was being actively endangered by his over-confidence in driving and his extreme denial of his alcoholism.

Another ex would bang his arms on the steering wheel, stamping his feet and start shrieking if I told him to speak kinder to me, he would repeatedly shriek that he wasn’t yelling, while people in other cars would be staring at us.

  • @jacquelinerodenbush6691 says:

Went and watched the video right after this one. WOW, gave me chills.

  • @susansmith7459 says:

In the car on the Way home from holiday celebration , party, family reunion, but the absolute scariest was on the way home from marriage counseling.

    • @anonymous-ze2ug says:

Oh, you just brought back a horrible memory with this. I actually walked back from marriage therapy, and it was not close by. So glad to be away from that monster.

  • @akindofmagic1988 says:

That scene is so scary because of just how true it is! The whole story of the music video has so many moments that highlight the roller coaster we were trapped on and really resonated with me

  • @whitakerpc4907 says:

When I was watching the music video I was literally saying now Dr. Ramani HAS to see this!

  • @violetmoon6233 says:

I just ended it with my narcissistic Producer couple of weeks ago. Im writing a album about narcissistic relationship survival . I said the same thing . I sent the song to all my friends . 🧡

  • @Chickching says:

I get a message from this song “women we got each other’s back. ” For real
