Skip “Attached.” Not worthwhile IMO. You can watch Thais Gibson & you’ll get the summary of the theory in 5 easy minutes. (She was here on Jonathan’s show & they summarized it, too.) Beyond that, there’s a fake premise that we’re hard wired to couple.
Attachment theory is hot right now. Psychology is …based in the imagination. If you follow the history science at all, or contemporary debates in it, you’ll understand how dubious it is. Psychology, unlike science, cannot even hope to ever prove anything it asserts, so imagine how off the mark it could be in light of the serious errors in the discipline of biology, for example.
Add to that Thais’ willingness to help you cure your attachment style (which is dubious in the first place), & you can understand how it all becomes “gypsies, tramps, & thieves” in the words of the immortal Cher. (Thais’ “school” has the secret cure that you will not find anywhere else🤫 Where have we heard that before?!)
