Divorce Coach Rene Garcia Interviews Client Bryan Abasolo

Hi everyone, my name is Rene Garcia, and I'm a divorce and recovery coach for men. Divorce is the third biggest stressor that an adult male can experience, often leaving men feeling isolated and without support. I became a recovery coach because there's very little available for men dealing with the pain of divorce. Society often tells men to just "suck it up," and any expression of grief is seen as weakness.

In this video, I sit down with my guest and client, Bryan Abasolo, who many of you may recognize from season 13 of "The Bachelorette." Bryan is also the owner of the Beverly Hills Disc and Laser Therapy Center. When Bryan reached out, he was contemplating divorce and needed an unbiased perspective.

We discuss Bryan's journey and the common challenges men face during the divorce process. This video is the first in a three-part series covering pre-divorce, during divorce, and post-divorce stages. If you're interested in a free consultation, click the link in the comments or in the video. Subscribe to my channel and follow along as we explore Bryan's journey and provide clarity to the emotional and confusing process of divorce.

When he talked about kids, that it was hard to see Rachel sad. Was he referring to a miscarriage?

    • @sabasmith says:

Rachel said that getting pregnant wasn’t as easy as some people make it out to be. I wonder if they struggled with infertility because that is so hard to deal with it. I know personally.

    • @ChaoticBluez says:

      They had fertility issues.

    • @cheriereuther7037 says:

@@sabasmith I remember hearing that as well. She was regretting not taking certain fertility steps much earlier in life. I remember hearing him talk about the two of them trying to grow-move as a couple in a direction, and then she would be up and on an airplane again.

    • @mjmcarson-gn5in says:

Rachel had no intention on having any kids for Bryan. It was a sham all along. She was never a wife to him and is not classified as wife material.

  • @GeneralNicholson-cm7dg says:

    Good interview. So sad.

  • Anonymous says:

He sounds like he harbors a deep bitterness about his ex partner’s success

    • @lcc686 says:

Although he was happy for Rachel’s success, it seems as if he was glad he did not relocate a 4th time because each time he moved he had to start his business all over again. It takes time to build a business and get clients.

    • @mackslade1980 says:

He may feel that way I know I feel ups and downs when it comes to the ex. 😊

    • @RussScanlan-i6g says:

      Don’t see that at all.

    • @kidscanreadtv6821 says:

Not at all. The man moved 3 times and almost moved four times for his wife’s success. In so doing, he uprooted his business 3 times. So much financial loss.

    • @hugohserrano says:

      Not at all

  • @maryruby5805 says:

Im confused over the whole thing. These ppl were not compatible. I have always thought that.

    • @milwaukeemotor5995 says:

me too, i never thought they were compatible, he needs a woman that speaks spanish

    • @rennesquitero332 says:

I loved them together so much. I fought for them so hard when everyone was screaming from the rooftops that Bryan was a fraud and she should’ve chosen Peter. Turns out they were right.

  • @unchained007 says:

Why is it nobody cares about men feelings? Many of us go unheard until it’s too late.

    • @mackslade1980 says:

Idk why it’s become that way😢. But I believe because of people like us in this world it will become better, for the next generations

  • @lighteyes214 says:

I was really rooting for them. The fact that they’ve ended up at this place is very unfortunate.

  • @jamesnoles4674 says:

He is literally saying everything, that I felt. Wow. I’m gonna have to rewatch this a few more times. Made me re live how I felt and what I’ve been through. Becoming just roommates basically. My hats off to you sir. You are truly one in a million. I respect that even though it was tough he still valued himself and thought about keeping his head above the water of emotion. Wow. What a great interview.

    • @Mensdivorcecoach says:

Thanks James, I think his voice resonates amongst many men. They don’t know what to do nor do they know who to speak with. People pre-judged Bryan from the get go. People just refuse to listen to what they don’t want to hear. Someone commented “this is boring”. I think that says a lot about a person when they say that.

  • @msvalina007 says:

    Another great video Rene!

  • @RussScanlan-i6g says:

Rene is a great resource for men. He helps them process their situation in a healthy way. It’s great to see him get some exposure through a celebrities experience. Rene is a great coach. Everyone needs a coach if they desire success in life!

  • @obsoleatsn says:

This was great illustration of what this process is. René kept it very professional and is not rooting or urging people to get divorced but lights the way on what to expect.

  • @Coachdanielrobertson says:

Great interview, Rene! If you don’t know Rene, he helped me avoid a big mistake when I was going through my divorce. Every guy should get a coach when they’re going through a divorce. Too many guys fumble around on their own and make mistakes. Don’t be that guy.

  • @MrShotgunX says:

Good for Bryan for thinking to find help through something so tough, and for speaking out on this important issue.

Divorce is so hard to navigate, and men often go through it alone. I had my parents and friends standing by my side, but nobody knew the process and we were navigating blind into what was quite the storm. I couldn’t even imagine trying to go through it secretly due to being celebrities.

I’m sure that this story will have a happy ending for both people.

  • @shadpersonal says:

    Great interview.

  • @milwaukeemotor5995 says:

bryan is 44 when did they plan to have kids

  • @ammaopoku5397 says:

This was very insightful… thanks for sharing

    • @Mensdivorcecoach says:

You’re very welcome. I hope Bryan (and myself) were able to get the word out because there are differences both biological and neurological differences between gender. Much of the video was more about men’s lack of responding to divorce and I hope I didn’t come off mysoginistic as many have claimed. Someone once said “70% of the times it’s the women’s fault that we’re divorced” and I stopped them right there. NO, 70% of times it’s the women that decides to divorce, I’m not putting blame on anyone. That would be unfair and untrue.

  • @michelljohn5002 says:

Fantastic interview! Rene is an exceptional coach whom I highly recommend to anyone going through a divorce. He provided invaluable support during my divorce and continues to offer guidance and advice even now. To me, Rene is more than just a coach; he is a friend.

  • @lostcausel3929 says:

Clearly, he didn’t want the divorce but because of the breakdown he had no choice. And I am sure Rachel is struggling as well. Marriage, relationships are hard. It really takes two people working together as a team and once that is gone it is really hard to get it back. So, sorry for the both of you. Wishing you both only peace, success, and love.

  • @DeOrnetteMonteleone says:

Bryan, I know what it’s like to sacrifice your business for your spouse. A spiritual counselor who follows the words of God is the best decision in life! I saw how you were easy going, supportive and you defended Rachel. You also expressed you wanted kids. Put this situation in God’s hands. Focus on healing. Continue building your business. God has blessings planned for you.
Block out all hateful comments! God knows who you are. That’s all that matters!

  • @DeOrnetteMonteleone says:

    Bryan,
Your counselor is great. I’m glad you’re getting help.
It’s great to see you talk about this. You are a great person. Please remain encouraged! I’m keeping you in prayer.
