For my first relationship, we were friends for 2 and 1/2 years as we were both in the same nursing classes and graduated together. It was only afterward that we hooked up and started living together. We ended up in the same hospital as well but luckily not on the same floors. We even ended up getting a house together. Yet, after 5 years of being together, he cheated on me, which was a total Blind Side. I had total, total trust in him which ended up being my downside. That’s probably why I never totally trusted my now ex-husband of 21 years who also cheated on me but it takes two to make a marriage and two to break it up and I was a very bad passive aggressive person at the beginning of the relationship but that is a whole other story. LOL.

He was 6ft, 6 inch, 6 figure pilot/Captain w AA w a 850 credit score and was still F up. He ended up w my Ex Best GF of 20 years & they only met 3x in our 5 years. Trust cannot be built w human beings. Don’t be naive. Folks are in a constant state of flux. One cannot rely on yesterday to predict tomorrow. Any relationship is in the moment & can turn on a dime, unfortunately. Someone you’ve known forever can tell you something you’d never expect, act in a way you couldn’t predict. Your trust means nothing but a false sense of safety.
