Please Please do the work before you drag someone else into your life…. So deeply unfair to them to present as “ healed” over your Ex when in fact you’re still carrying a torch for that person. As a wife who’s married to a man who STILL has feelings for his ex wife( after being divorced for 10 years) please do the work prior to getting involved with someone else.
If you set up those kind of goals, to be healed from any kind of childhood trauma and being completely done with every romantic or intimate relationship, you ever had, before you engage with someone new, I think, you will have to be single for the rest of your life. Because it doesn’t work like that. Every person, who has made an imprint on your personality and/or soul, will be with you forever. If you truly have an open heart, you will feel love for everyone that opened your heart. Because love is an eternal force that you experience, when your heart is open. I agree that an ideal is to always work on yourself with every issue, you experience difficulty with and hence so becoming a better partner for someone, you let into your life. But it’s ongoing work in progress and people around you will help you with this process. That’s what we are here for. Helping each other on our spiritual journey ❤
