I just want to reach over to Rachel and give her a big hug. I know where she is because I’ve been there. She doesn’t really want to break up with him. She’s still attached to him and hoping he will change and beg for her back (but this is a fantasy – he is who he is). It will take time for her to detach, and one day she will see that the break up was for the best. But she doesn’t see it now. She just needs time.

Sadly people show you the best in the beginning.. then you develope feelings then find out the real deal… if you drop someone its sad, creates more issues insecurities and devistation. At what point do you detach..my friend when she met her now husband whipped out a list with 40 questions.. everyone has had trama. Sooo many red flags with this guy! The more she says about him the more I cringe. No job, little to no effort put in, cheap, controlling, name calling, living at home, smoker and asks you to pick up that crap for him and not pay you back. Sounds like her boyfriend hasn’t healed from his past relationships and is clearly not ready to be dating again. He needs counseling to work on his victim mentality and anger management issues. Rachel also needs to go to counseling to work on her codependency issues. It’s so important to not engage in any sexual activity too soon until both partners have developed a solid friendship Every relationship offers an opportunity to learn lessons for our personal and spiritual growth. The power of WE. Very well stated and I think the key we should all be looking for in a relationship. Having been in a few relationships I figured out there was never a WE. There was a HE or a SHE looking to fill certain needs without an ultimate desire for a true relationship will never be a WE. Ladies and gentlemen hold out for the WE. WE can go the distance, HE or SHE relationships have an expiration date.
