  • @patrickbinford590 says:

I haven’t been checking out the series so I’m having to learn everything through the podcast here.

  • @Deanriley says:

Along with films that show us narcissists, I just reread George Orwellโ€™s the Clergymanโ€™s Daughter and it shows clearly what just how awful a narcissist can be. We need a list of films and books which uplift the confusion and evil of narcissism.

  • @itm4173 says:

I enjoy these show analysis episodes. It’s as if I’ve got a virtual TV buddy. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • @anitah3258 says:

I love how excited you get about analyzing White Lotus ๐Ÿ˜Š I think you should get some kind of a promotional bonus for the movies and shows that you talk about. It makes all of us to watch these shows ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • @morgainnejade says:

I really love your take on this show, & look forward to your video commentary on each episode!

  • @truelove2334 says:

Saxton reminds me of the narcissist of my trauma, who was always trying to force feed me

  • @DiscordBeing says:

I love that we get to watch this show with you, Doctor Ramani.

  • @kellystefani310 says:

I have been a fan of white lotus since season 1 and Iโ€™ve always looked forward to you breaking each episode down. Dr. Ramani you do such a wonderful job showing us how this spectrum of narcissism is showing up in the different story lines and characters. As well as the psychopathy piece. Look forward to future episode breakdowns to come!

  • @aztecriverroots says:

watching and then having your comparison is really opening the story layers for examination, loving this!!

  • @jennifercatherinekarel8925 says:

I appreciate all this awareness you share

  • @angieshel says:

But doc, the beginning of the first episode we see Belindaโ€™s son โ€œfindingโ€ a body in the water, who, I suspected was his mother since he was talking about her during his meditation session. Possibility that itโ€™s a different body floating in the waterโ€ฆ white lotus likes itโ€™s turns of events. Love you break down.

  • @Brooksedge says:

Belindaโ€™s son didnโ€™t move toward the floating body as if it was his mom, like an empathic person would. I believe the security guard dies

    • @alpakafantasy5134 says:

This would be a very sad ending, but the writers are doing such a great job with this season because there are a few really likeable characters around and they are getting all set up to be worried about. My first guess from watching only the first episode was that the floating body was the female owner of the hotel but after watching the fourth episode, it could be just anyone of the characters. In the first to seasons it all where tragic outcomes before but this one could actually be really really bad

    • @BasedPsychologyDecoded says:

????? You have no right to call the son to be non-empathetic based off this detail that isnโ€™t even factually correct, even if it were trueโ€ฆ.son comes across as very empathetic

  • @cBe9999 says:

Hi Doctor Ramani (and team) – as many people know, narcs often operate with ‘death by a thousand cuts’. But what about the effect of repeated low-grade narcissism we all encounter in everyday life?

For example, yesterday the young woman serving me coffee had a nasty attitude. She has had this attitude towards me several times now and it’s clearly directed at me and without me having done anything. It’s reasonably common for young people to have a snotty attitude at work but I doubt I’m alone in sometimes getting tired of turning the other cheek to their immaturity. I sometimes get the feeling that some of these types of people are even calculating their interaction to be rude but not so so rude as to merit the customer in speaking to the manager.

Could you make a video on this sort of ‘under-the-radar’ narcissism?

  • @MsDeekshagupta says:

i love how invested you are in the show haha <3 I think Rick will accidentally get his British girlfriend killed in a sort of tragedy of errors because of his half baked revenge plan

  • @Martec-o3l says:

Ooohhhh agreeed I feel the in love guard dies

  • @georgianaavram139 says:

    I loooove this analysis!!!

  • @JoannaTerpstra-e8w says:

From what you tell me, I donโ€™t think I could stomach watching this fiction based on repulsive characters.

There are enough real life narcissists in the world I choose to avoid.

  • @Felix4art192 says:

I dont really watch much tv, so these, I can get it, with the recap, but real stories of true hurt captures me much more. This being Hollywood drama, is usually a little over done and almost dumbed down to explain bad relationships. Not to mention everyone is that, perfect skin, perfect teeth, beautiful people soap opera type thing im not really into. Glad your enjoying it but not great for helping content. Its kinda funny how into it you’re getting tho.. Will check back in when it’s more serious content.
