Well I’m that nurse for real(I’m an RN of over 45 yrs), I’m 68, and I can tell you that men in my age group have neglected their health(very FEW haven’t)… I took care of my late husband for many years until his death, and it was so hard, as well as heartbreaking…I don’t really wish to have to do that again during my remaining years….

Im not sure how i would feel. I know this, if the tables were turned how we we feel if a man left us if we got sick. Things can happen at the drop of a dime. If i cared truly i couldnt leave him like that! Just my own thoughts. Thank you, Jonathon❤

My first husband wasn’t there for me in my several different illnesses. I left him.

There are no guarantees at any stage of life, and I’d try to be as mentally prepared as I could for the, let’s face it, inevitable. That said, getting into a relationship at this point we’d need to have an honest talk about mobility issues, caregiving, insurance – the hardcore stuff. Also at this age it’s likely if I or my partner need care during the same period elderly parents will too. It’s tough. Hopefully good insurance and $ will help buffer

I’ve hot a bf of 3 and a half months, he has arthritis in his hips, 1 is worse than the other and I don’t mind being his nurse. I’m 63, he is 61. We are very into each other now too.
