The Narcissist Doesn’t Miss You—Here’s What They Miss

When a narcissist says “I miss you,” it rarely means what you think it does. The words may feel tender, but the motivation behind them can be far more complicated. This video breaks down why distance can trigger unexpected reactions in narcissistic people—and why their sudden softness often leaves you confused.

    very tasteful

  • @NarcLife says:

They seek attention not connection. Your absence disrupts their validation supply and they want it restored.

  • @pengguoyu4614 says:

All Narcissists have a deep dark secret that they do not want us to ever know about because their ways are strategic. When a narcissist says that miss you they really miss themselves.

    • @timothychung4811 says:

They are bullies, so to bully one, they have to TRAP YOU (lock you in), the ultimate prize. This is where those that are unconfident with self doubt becomes THE VULNERABLE VICTOMS.

  • @pengguoyu4614 says:

Narcissists use the word I miss you as a buzz word to avoid accountability and responsibility.

  • @melmatthews5876 says:

I think narcissists will try to Hoover you especially around the holiday season. They are predatorial opportunists.

    • @danielleleighm824 says:

This is definitely their pattern. I got a text a week before Christmas. My new favorite text is “New phone. Who is this?”. Such a blow to the ego.

  • @zmesopotamia6792 says:

They miss your love, kindness, loyalty, empathy, tolerance, forgiveness… Otherwise they don’t see you other than an object and they usually miss you when they are sick or their plan with the new supply failed.

  • @margaretsavdie2378 says:

Not only the glasses but your hair, your outfit, you look glamorous ❤

  • @Lizzy.12.8.90 says:

    They miss supply and control

  • @andymath89 says:

Best thing one can do is just ignore their half-assed attempts to hoover you back. Like Dr. Ramani said, they don’t actually miss you. They miss what you provided to them.

  • @HP_Quinn says:

“I miss you” … Nah, you miss having someone who stuck around and put up with your BS, tantrums, sense of entitlement, & condescension – and still gave you attention & treated you better than you deserved.

  • @deniz.karakulak says:

“Their missing is not about you its about them” awsome line dr ramani !!! they are missing the routine and you regulating their life

  • @jws3925 says:

“They are always the center of their story”. No truer words have never been spoken.

  • @Jorge-u8u2s says:

“I miss you” for the narcissist means they miss controlling you.

    • @bwbw-i1l says:

Or,” I am concerned” when they know or are creating the issues in hopes you run to them. Want respect but don’t give any.

  • @kryssysmith1486 says:

Looking back, I’ve realized that when some people said “I miss you,” what they really meant was, “I MISS WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR ME.”

  • @kpgramps3544 says:

I’m at the stage now where “I miss you” makes me laugh and then vomit in my mouth a little bit. This is spot on 👍

  • @angelaeastwood3938 says:

I gave myself an early Christmas present this year, I have finally only recently detached from a 39-year marriage, which was physically and emotionally abusive i was neglected, unloved, and blamed and truma bonded and everything esle. I only got here by listening to life-saving knowledge all about narcissism, such as listening on here mostly. 🙏 That gave me the strength to detach. The new year will bring a lot of uncertainty. it’s something i need help for and, in time, a new me, the one I completely lost .😢 but I know I have made the right choice for myself and my children. 🙏

  • @antoniasachtleben says:

“Missing you is really all about them” – So well said. Exactly this. Like always, it doesn’t even matter that we exist – except for their entertainment.
