💯. I have worked on myself in many different ways The guy liked is divorced, 3 grown kids, lived with someone for a couple years after that and didn’t work out. Which is fine. However I am perplexed at his lack of communication now and he keeps blocking me and unblocking me.
So my point is it’s strange to watch how it gets worse for some as years go by. I’ve had to take my tender heart and walk away. I tried to express myself but it started to feel like a brush off- him nodding in the moment but nothing moved forward or progressed or even seemed to be truly heard.
Now when I hear from him I don’t answer. What’s the point ? My words about my wants fall on deaf ears.
I know he had a very uncaring childhood. He even would get a bit annoyed if I showed compassion when he would tell me tidbits. He would be like Oh well I’m fine now or whatever.
I’ve know him off and on since high school.
I got that I just need to work on myself a bit more so I can keep maintaining my boundaries.
Have a nice day
Hi Jonathan…
Just commenting randomly, though this seems quite useful!
Watched the Black Mirror episode that you recommended last night, (“Hang the DJ'”, from Season 4) with my daughter. I can definitely see why you recommended it!! Thanks ❤
