Paula saying: “All of my past relationships, might not have been about my choice.”, showcases her lack of responsibility for her past choices. Yes, to allow to be chosen is in fact also a choice.
The fact that Paula vehemently proclaims for her future self to “really be discerning, about the things that you want, about the boundaries that you have”, to me indicates (together with the vibe between you two that I sense as she’s saying this) that she is currently feeling controlled, however is obviously giving her power away by yielding to some things you want, Jonathon. This shows that being financially self-sufficient, or abundant does not necessarily rule out giving your power away, Jonathon. This will ultimately also turn you off this relationship too.
Also, let’s remember that not all judgments/opinions are based on projection 🙂
