I made 7 failed suicide attempts while married to a man like this. They know just watch buttons to push to make us believe the world would be a better place without us in it.
Promoting abuse towards people is abuse induced suicidality.

I broke away from a man like this. I can relate 100%. Depriving basic needs especially sleep was real! Texting my friends while pretending to be me. Isolation. Spiritual bypassing and ridicule. It’s a classic script.
I am still recovering 10years later.
I hope Mica is in heaven and happy. Please if you are in this situation find an exit door real quick.

I was, too. He was my “pastor” and love bombed my kids and me, while I was going through a divorce from my first abusive husband. It was a miracle my ex left! Yes, I look back and see there were several times where he could’ve killed us. Glad you got out! ❤
What happened to Mica is horrific in every way. I think girls and women need to be taught to be bold in the preservation of self and safety vs. being nice as many of us were taught growing up.

Her lawyer, who believed her is the biggest part for Micah I’m sure and amazing to see she was there trying to help her. I’m a Christian and have spoken to many Christians who are sheeps in wolf’s clothing. Gets me angry pretending they are Godly. I lived through this in a different state and have watched Mica go through it here in Horry County.
We need the legislature here in SC to pass the Coercive Control Law.

I am also in SC. my case was not as severe but there are many overlapping tactics. Dr Ramani I want you to know that your videos are what helped me escape. I didn’t have any funding to hire an attorney and I made it all the way through simply by what you told me, and taking some unusual measures. In the end it worked in my favor. RIP Mica, may many be saved by the results of your story. We need major change in the South to protect women

@janespitfire9884yes of course. i was just focusing on the major spiritual abuse that comes on good natured women in the so called Bible belt of the USA. this is my only experience in life. this type of abuse is unfortunately the instinct of terrible men who prey on women, takes many forms but overall is the same tactic. it is disgusting and it is time to take our power back. Women are givers of life and deserve to be treated with respect, love and protected from the men who are willing to overpower and torment us. the world has gone barking mad and it’s time the script to flip

@C@CursedInColoradoank you. I could’ve never mentally prepared without her information. it helped me draw quick conclusions when I saw what was going down. I started listening thinking it was just his mom I needed the info for, but the moment the divorce was going forward (and I could’ve never grasped this reality until it started coming together before my very own eyes) his behavior quickly showed me that everything she was saying in her videos I immediately accepted that was my circumstance, so I was able to quickly pivot my steps moving forward. it was not easy but I made it and I acknowledge so many did not have that privilege

I’ve watched this multiple times and it’s heartbreaking. I was with a covert for 15 yrs, Micas husband is on another level then what went through. I wish I could just hug her. 😢
Thankfully, I survived a marriage to a man like this after 7 failed suicide attempts. That was nearly 30 years ago and only after YouTube recommended Dr. Ramani videos a few years ago did I begin to understand and heal from the 15 years of abuse.

Thank you on behalf of all adult children of domestic violence and victims of abuse to simply acknowledge how coercive abuse is perpetuated even by people who claim to be very moral and righteous persons.
This is so common and predictable it is not even shocking anymore.
I felt the same way about not hurting him or the church. But after seeking help from 5 pastors who did not help me I gave up an abusive marriage after 33 years. Fortunately NJ has no fault divorce. So many of the things you’re saying happened to me. This has to end

If a church (or any organization or system) cannot handle the truth, then that church is broken.
