Great video It was a month ago when my five year romantic life ended. I’m deeply affected by the decision to end a relationship with the person I love. I have tried everything to win her back, even if it has been in vain, and I can’t picture my life without her. I’ve done my best to avoid thinking about her, yet I still find myself missing her and thinking about her frequently. Why I am stating this here is beyond me.
I totally get it. I was in the same boat six years ago. My best advice is to go silent, give her a chance to feel her thoughts. If you have to communicate with her tell her that you’re not trying to get back together but you just want an answer. Do not say anything affectionate. Stay cool and calm then wait a few weeks to see if she reacts.
I fell big for a reacquainted high school girl friend but she has attachment issues and she has reached out a few times but I didn’t give her a chance. But I know she’s feeling it.
Thank you Mat, the tools you‘ve just given me are worth gold. I love the way you present, because I can feel your passion. Dani in the UK
I like point #2 and thank you for the info regarding why people criticize that they want to feel important in your life/add value/feel significant….On another note, I heard someone say to use ‘I’ statements…’Most people will say ‘You work too much.’ but what they really mean is ‘I miss you.’ “I’m sad.’ ‘I’m lonely.’ etc.
Tell me More !!! Great now we all know how to pause
Express or a call for love
What would it look like it?
And maybe .fir
Women …?.yeah Hun..I’d love to do some day dates with you, I’d love some extra quality time with you, just the 2 of Us
What do you think
How to not get triggered: Notice what you are noticing to buy yourself some time & not get defensive, (tell me more), Reset yourself (For them, it’s an expression of love or a call for love), What would it look like if…?, then let them tell you; Get underneath anger to see the unmet need below. (Anger is from fear, sadness or betrayal). Pause and then speak from that place of emotion.

I think you need to qualify that this is advice for when you are adult, not a child. Because when are being constantly criticised as a child, you cannot possibly have the presence of mind to support the adult understand what is going on. This is how children are damaged, and they should not be blamed for not identifying what the adult is feeling.
