    Who is your health advocate?

  • @jillwalker6076 says:

Health care advocate to make health care decisions

  • @SassyLadyKat1111 says:

    Have to look at everything.

Many middle age men and women do not take care of themselves, health wise. Just look around, everywhere.

What is their lifestyle like? Is it healthy aligned with what yours is like or not?

For instance, my active lifestyle doesn’t go with someone who is sedentary. Or my healthy dietary intake would not go with someone who doesn’t eat in a healthy way (most of the time).

As for the financial part, I personally don’t look for someone to cover that part.

Helping and taking care of your partner after a relationship is established is a natural part when someone has a heart to give…and vice versa.

Again, look at everything as each person is getting to know the other.

I get where you ste st but Jonathan gives a tit for tat energy..

  • @arleenanderson2372 says:

I bought a drink after an expensive dinner.. the guy got mad and said dont you ever do that again.. so there i thoughtbid take your advice

    • @JonathonAslay says:

Why would someone get angry over your generosity? Did he have control issues?

    • @arleenanderson2372 says:

@JonathonAslay to be honest . A few guys on first date had that reaction
I bought one guy dinner after helped me with some stuff . And he said im single woman making on my own I dont need you to buy me dinner

    • @arleenanderson2372 says:

@JonathonAslaythere are few guys that have had that reaction. Honestly.
A guy I was dating he fixed some stuff. I bought him dinner. He said im woman making on my own I dont need to buy him dinner

    • @Sonata909 says:

      Why mad? That’s odd

    • @barbarawarren9443 says:

@JonathonAslayIt sounds like the guy didn’t want to pay for the drink. Arleen may be a woman.

  • @Ladybug.123 says:

My boyfriend and I, (we are both “seniors”), decided to go to a lawyer and get all of the financial and healthcare power of attorney forms done BEFORE he needed to go for a surgical procedure. We both realized that we needed to have things done LEGALLY in case of a “God forbid.”

  • @kathleenhudome9974 says:

You both are such great communicators. What would you suggest for 2 people who get along very well but when some issue arises the silent treatment happens. I feel it is cruel & an immature way to handle things & then after a few days pass act like everything is fine🤪

    • @Sonata909 says:

I couldn’t do that EVER again – been there done that. Like you I believe it is cruel and immature. I suffered and one day realized I don’t have to put up with this and left. Best decision I’ve ever made

    • @Firecracker-v-11 says:

      Indeed. Been there done that.
Choose someone who deserves to be with you. That treats you well. Loves you without dysfunction.

Have you shared how that feels when he does that? How did he react to your feelings?

  • @elizabethmedina874 says:

What I love most about having a healthy emotional partner is how great it feels from within enhancing the outer beauty.
    You two look great together.
    ❤🥰❤🥰❤

  • @Sonata909 says:

I have notifications on set to all, but keep missing your lives sadly. I agree with your point of view on each paying your own way, but every now and then I’d love my partner to surprise me and “treat.” When I dated, I would first meet for coffee. My mother used to say she ONLY ever met men looking for a nurse or a purse. She said I had a good man (my dad passed at 55) so I don’t need another man. She passed at 92. Like Paula she valued her sovereignty but never wanted another relationship.

  • @dianamendell4099 says:

I think whatever works for you is good! You both have a wonderful life together and others need to realize you are not telling us how to live you are just sharing how you both live life together in your 60’s. Which is very helpful to know and I am very appreciative that you have. I have learned a lot more about relationships listening to your videos. Keep up the good work👍

  • @rethagroenewald856 says:

I am a 75yr female – healthy, fit and independent – I took care of myself and still do.
This is a type of mindset I am looking for – and not to live in fear and what-if’s.
    Life is too short!!
What about living with a Narcissist in younger years for years… what is worse: the Narc yrs or being older but healthy and HAPPY?

Best is to be HAPPY and do the best you can and like will attract like

  • @sylviagibson4639 says:

30 years ago, at age 39 I was widowed. When I started dating there were many times when men were seeking a “nurse and a purse”. I am an RN. Some thought I’d raise their kids, or care for their elderly parents, or support them. Dating was not fun and I have dogs now and it works. Caring for someone with a statistically short term health issues and long term issues are very different, toss in mental decline and you have a scenario that most have difficulties with. Neither of my parents were on any medications. Mom died from brain cancer at 84 and Dad died at 93, he lived alone and drove until the day before he died.

  • @barbarawarren9443 says:

Jonathan “Tell me more” is a great response to your partner’s comment.

  • @dianedorney5147 says:

    Sixty three is YOUNG

  • @dianedorney5147 says:

When you have a history with someone…..I mean a marriage that lasts fifty years we as a society didnt value that and now we expect a stranger to embrace us in our older years…we lost something in our society of great value

    • @JonathonAslay says:

I was just thinking about the difference between couples married 50+ years vs. those meeting at age 60, not knowing how many years they have left. I guess it depends on what love really means to a person… don’t you think?

  • @stephaniepersin4222 says:

You have to realize that there is a difference between being with someone married for decades and enjoyed the healthy years and the loyalty of a spouse versus dating and marrying 55 plus without all those life experiences together. This is a serious issue. Most get out of their child rearing ages, then they get the parents who may need medical help and THEN they meet someone late in life and they need help. I have no Interest personally in doing what you’re doing but my comment comes from observing family members.

  • @pamelakrueger7353 says:

Can appreciate no one wanting to be a nurse/purse or dr/bank….but if you enter into a genuine relationship, then you may find your health declining at some point. To me it’s part of the package when you get serious of things that go along with it

  • @Independentlibra says:

I loved this ‘session’. I find nothing ‘incorrect’ about the way you two have developed your relationship, along with being realistic in today’s world. Helps ‘me’ realize my own reality is on right path. The health factors sure help with prospective too. I’m in a similar situation, where I’m headed for a major cervical surgery, just as the universe has somehow placed an old classmate from over five decades ago. Its just now getting started slowly, but it scares me. Id love to have this story end full circle, but keeping myself in the ‘now’. We’re just messenging in between busy lives, but I do think about bringing someone down, so I’m overthinking. I don’t want to ‘want’ what sounds perfect. I own my own home, he’s an hr away, so that works for me, at present time. Love hearing both your views. 💯
