No judgement from me kids. You guys are cute and are a real couple. I’m holding out to find something like you two have.

  • @mkshffr4936 says:

Paula nailed it in the first 30 seconds. It is quite literally a sacred communication of incredible depth and intensity. It should never be disrespected or trivialized.

    • @soozt828 says:

      Agreed….but I think that’s more a woman’s perspective…men definitely do not think this way.

    • @mkshffr4936 says:

@soozt828I assure you that I am a man and I think exactly that way. I have been a person of faith from an early age which may be a factor but I know I am not alone.

I suspect many men feel it deep inside, at least prior to searing it, but can’t really deacribe it at least in those terms.

    • @lindajackson2382 says:

      But it IS!

    • @soozt828 says:

      @mkshffr4936Glad to hear it..

    • @Sunlightsam24 says:

@s@soozt828 There are plenty of good men, non cheaters, who feel and think differently of a woman who has sex with them right away.

I’ve had more than one man through my life thank me for waiting.

There’s plenty of women who don’t think that way about sex either as they sleep with men to get them to like them, whether they admit it or not

  • @Sunlightsam24 says:

In my experience and practically, a healthy relationship is not maintained by consistent ‘discourse’ (consistently over reacting, defensiveness, nastiness, condescension, needing to be right, anger, pettiness, etc) then repair. Way too much energy devoted to each in my opinion at this stage of life

No one is required to accept and tolerate behavior from someone else on a consistent basis. There’s been a tenant set here that ‘the other person has to accept me exactly for who I am, no matter what’, hmmm, no.

Relationships are for growth and maturity, stopping behavior that negatively hits the relationship over and over.

Love comes from the choice to repair, grow together, and most importantly, to make changes individually.

It’s exhausting to be in ‘discourse’ over and over on the same types of our personal challenges.

That’s what I’ve learned from my 4.5+ years together so far!

  • @Firecracker-v-11 says:

It’s a sacred union. Emotional safety. Connection, respect and trust needs to be built. Loyalty and commitment. Porn doesn’t teach or indicate healthy sex.
Most couples don’t analyze, examine and have communication about the relationship. How you consistently interact in the relationship.

  • @lindym9450 says:

Overanalyzing everything is not the way to go.

    • @JonathonAslay says:

Exactly and most couples don’t analyze enough… they have such poor communication and rarely examine/analyze the nature of their relationship.

    • @Rh7164 says:

@JonathonAslayl have a friend who has failed at relationships. I think we have more than friendship. There is love on both sides. He’s afraid to admit it or to make it more definitive. Also he’s been traumatized by trusting women, they screwed him.

    • @Sunlightsam24 says:

@JonathonAslay Relationship success doesn’t mean hyper focusing on the relationship and every feeling or emotion that comes up. I have a solid relationship with my rest of my life man and we don’t feel the need to analyze endlessly. It’s great you two like to do that, but it’s not a requirement

    • @Sunlightsam24 says:

@R@Rh7164here’s a pattern there with him. He can change the pattern if he wants, no one else can do it for him. You’ll have to decide if you want to be unavailable to other men while he stays stuck and static

    • @lindym9450 says:

@JonathonAslayHow do you know this, that “most couples have poor communication skills”. It’s a broad conclusion without any scientific studies attached to support the assumption”. I’m not discrediting you but people have to stop believing what everyone says without further investigation. Adopting an enquiring, curious mind is a healthy informed one.

  • @Himmiefan says:

There are tons of couples who are able to make a connection and postpone sex until marriage or an engagement. Heart-on vs. hard-on – what a good quote!

  • @yourfutureisnow6480 says:

I enjoy the vibe between you two and also the conversation. It’s like you two “get it”
    Jonathan, you’re underrated

  • @metisangelcreative says:

I’m so glad you brought this out. I’m always getting told I’m beautiful. Though that’s high compliment, when the friendship is in early stages, I have so many men texting all this “sex talk” of what they want to do with my body. That right there causes me to set a firm boundary of “no” in both my mind and heart.

    • @Sunlightsam24 says:

How do you respond to them? Have you met these men in person? Are these online connections and what do your photos look like?

  • @AnniceChetelat says:

To me, I crave a the spiritual ecstasy that can happen before the orgasm… and when no orgasm happens, from penetration, the ecstasy can be more majestic than anything… it’s like being in a heavenly state.

  • @joanm7198 says:

Sex love passion communication. It rarely happens all together with one person.

  • @sherrymarshall4243 says:

Paula is dead on. I just dating again after 5 years. I’m sure intimacy will eventually come up.

  • @lindajackson2382 says:

To answer your question in the thumbnail: The answer is YES!

  • @esitaparui4888 says:

My boyfriend was happy after telling his parents about me, and I was happy too. However, at the same time, I felt that he wasn’t giving me enough time and attention.

One day before we were supposed to meet, I asked him where he was and whether he was at the office. He told me that he was hanging out with his friends. Around the same time, I used to send him more than 30 photos of myself, but for two days, his only response was “Okay.”

On the day we were supposed to meet, he called me and told me that he was out with his friends. I got angry and said, “Okay, then I’m cutting the call.” He asked me why, and I replied, “I have the same work to do as you do, right? That’s why.” Then I ended the call.

Two hours later, we met. He asked me what had happened, why I wasn’t looking happy, and whether I didn’t like his presence. I didn’t say anything. When he tried to touch me, I refused, and he started crying and then left.

After that, he said he wanted to break up with me. He also said that he would marry someone from his community and that I should date someone else while he should date someone else.

Later, he said that he needed space and that he would come back soon.

What should I do? I tried to apologize to him, but he said, “If God wants us to be together, we will find our way back to each other. Leave it to God.”

    • @JonathonAslay says:

I am so sorry you are going through this, but please prioritize your own emotional well-being and honor your need for clarity instead of waiting for his indecision. ❤️

    • @Sunlightsam24 says:

Is he blowing you off to stay out with his friends? It sounds like he’s honoring his agreement to meet you.

Mirror him, hon. How long have you been dating him?

Stop sending pictures, and berating him and having expectations then getting pissy when he doesn’t meet them. Live your life as if you’re single (you’re not married after all, and I don’t mean going after other men), that will make you less available in all ways to him, leading to less anxiousness and control from you.

Take your focus off him and put it on you.

(I dated a guy during Covid that loved to mountain bike for hours, then come to my place and complain about being exhausted. I would never tell him not to do what he loved, but that also doesn’t mean I wait around and sit at home and wait for him, just to hear him complain. So one day, I took a 2.5 hour ride to another state to have lunch and experience some freedom. And he did not like that. Too bad. I wait for no man!)
