I think some men who put themselves down are testing us women to see if we are sympathetic and supportive to them.
Men don’t test. You’re projecting. I’m not sure why they do it (since I personally don’t), but I can tell you that’s not it.

yeah these are basic human things its vice versa not attractive if women do these stuff too, no one likes arrogance or pride, or someone who is controlling, these are just basics for us all. But yes spot on and good advice brilliant :).

Funny, because my friend who is a chick magnet and gets lots of beautiful women to sleep with him on first or second dates uses that generic “Good morning Beautiful!” line on his text messages all the time and never turns off women, evidently. I agree witb you, though, that it sounds very generic and impersonal, and avoid doing it.
And try not to fart in front of them, of course.
Gotta disagree on talking about your ex. It’s not *IF* you talk about your ex, it’s *HOW* you talk about them, which is VERY revealing.
