Will Dating During Divorce Make You Better or Worse? What 717 Men Revealed

Should you date while going through divorce, or wait until it’s final?

In my observational study of 717 divorcing men, men who dated averaged 66 in quality of life compared with 56 among men who didn’t date. But dating alone wasn’t the answer. Men having terrible dating results scored 52, while men succeeding at dating scored 81.

The question isn’t simply whether you should date. It’s whether you’re prepared to do it correctly.

This video covers why “focus on yourself” doesn’t require isolation, how passive dating damages your confidence, why bad dating-app photos bury your profile, and how successful dating can change your divorce recovery.

These findings are observational, self-reported, nonrandomized and do not establish causation. Legal and military restrictions vary, so speak with your attorney before dating during an active divorce.
