Many are not interested in the explanation of lying or straight lying my omission or half truths ….. it’s not transpency. Can’t go far with a weak foundation.
I agree to a certain extent. What is really important is WHY do people have to lie? We can “lie” over what others might consider “trivia”. I feel, though, that people should avoid lies. They could jeopardise a relationship, first in small ways, then significantly. Once trust is broken, it is difficult to get the relationship back on track. Radical honesty is best for a relationship to thrive.
There’s always some justification for lies and evasions by the person doing it. How red the flag is depends. As Jonathan said a lie about age may be understandable in the circumstance. The extreme would be a false front, and then run for hills!
i get it and agree. more people these days are unfortunately not getting hooked up from friends but rather meeting a stranger. so i get it you dont want a 1st, 2nd or 3rd date to this stranger to know everything like not being a natural blond, or owning 5 dogs, or maybe even having ADHD. that’s not a stranger’s business. i depends on the dealbreakers or just simply Honestly tell them “hey i think we can talk about such n such after we are a couple a few months in but i dont want to talk about pets right now” then your not lying but your also letting them know hey date 1st fewer topics will be discussed.
now if a person is very Blessed to have friends who do hook yall up of which people are returning to dating like that again then i would open up a bit more. in short Appropriate time Appropriate place for everything and you avoid the lying❤
