Why he goes quiet after you’ve done everything…

When he goes quiet after you've been carrying everything, you read it as him losing interest. It's almost never that.

Here's the sequence. You give. He can't give back at that level. He feels the gap — and a man does what men do with guilt, which is avoid the reminder. So he gets quieter. Slower to text. Less available.

And he pulls back from the exact person who's been pouring into him.

So you give more, to close the distance. Which deepens the debt. Which increases the avoidance.

That's the spiral, my dear. And the answer is not to give more.

This appeared right at the moment I was wondering why. Too much giving can almost be kinda selfish I guess. Thanks for your words of wisdom. God bless you and yours ❤

That hit me like a ton of bricks. Excellent information, thanks

This is the part nobody explains. He’s not pulling away because he cares
less — he’s avoiding a reminder of a debt he doesn’t know how to pay. 🤍

Have you ever given more to close a distance, and watched it get wider?
